There are many wonderful opportunities to do research at GW during your residency. We have multiple research options not only at GW but also through our affiliated hospitals Holy Cross, Children’s National, and NIH. Information for the affiliates is located in the tabs.
Research with Dr. Carlos Sanchez is avaialabe at Children's National.
Dr. John Heiss, Chief, Surgical Neurology Branch of the NINDS at the National Institutes of Health, has an appointment as Professor of Neurosurgery at The George Washington University and is working with the Department to ensure an optimal residency research experience.
Grand Rounds are held each week on Wednesday morning from 7 – 8 AM.
This department-wide conference includes invited guests, Morbidity & Mortality Conference, Tumor Board, and resident research presentations.
